Dear Wife, Mom, and Friend...

If your family life needs some "first aid," you probably don't have the time or emotional energy to sort through the thousands of web sites listed at Anne's Homey Place.  You need help NOW!

Here we've listed what you need to do first to get your home back to where God wants it to be.  I have listed 10 steps below, but I'd really like you to start with Step One and work your way through each step in order.  You could skip ahead -- maybe you already have a relationship with God, or maybe your checkbook is in order -- so you think you don't need these steps.  However, I've found that most families get in trouble little by little, gradually over time.  These 10 steps are the most common problem areas for families, so give yourself a "check-up" in each of these urgent areas before you decide your family is "symptom free."

One more thing...  You can't change everything today!  That's why we've included a list of "recommended reading."  You would be wise to print the book list and -- wait!  Don't spend any money!  Take the list to your local library and begin to check out these books.  If your library doesn't have a book on the list, ask about interlibrary loan.  You should be able to find each of these books without ever spending a penny.

The 10 Steps for Family First Aid are...

  1. Mean business with yourself
  2. Get a handle on your time
  3. Seek God
  4. Rekindle your marriage
  5. Learn how to parent
  6. De-clutter your house
  7. Control your spending
  8. Get healthy
  9. Find a good church
  10. Where to go from here

Let's get started with Step One...
