15:4b
The
following is a Bible study posted on our Bible Study Group.
Happy Thursday, everyone!
I have been feeling VERY pregnant this last week, and I've been having a hard
time keeping up. As I got to thinking about today's Bible study, I began
to wonder if it might be okay if I asked all of you to contribute this week.
First, let's look at the verses in Psalm 15...
"LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
He who walks uprightly,
And works
righteousness,
And speaks the
truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his
tongue,
Nor does evil to
his neighbor,
Nor does he take up
a reproach against his friend;
In whose eyes a vile person is
despised,
But he honors those
who fear the LORD;
He who swears to his own hurt and
does not change;
He who does not put out his money at
usury,
Nor does he take a
bribe against the innocent. (NKJV)
Last week, we began looking at verse 4...
In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those
who fear the LORD;
Today, we need to finish verse 4...
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

I think we all understand the importance of keeping our promises. Would
any of you be willing to write in to the group and tell about a time that you
DID keep a promise, as well as the blessing it brought? OR... If
you're brave, would you mind telling us a time that you did NOT keep your word,
as well as the consequences?
Thanks to all of you in advance for anything you can contribute.
